Megan + Ej :: Engaged

They were high school sweethearts. They both came to State and their relationship got even stronger. Talks of marriage happend occasionally but they both decided that it would be best for them to wait until they graduated. However, that didn't stop Ej for making New Year's Eve, 2011 one of them most memorable evening of her life. He popped the question and she said yes. Megan and Ej, I had so much fun with you guys. 

We started the shoot at Mitchell Memorial Library. Megan, that was an awesome idea :)

Megan is studying to be a teacher with an emphasis in science and art (awesome combo btw), and Ej is going to be a meteorologist.... yeah, they are pretty awesome. 

 We then decided to sneak outside (even though it was one hundred degrees) to enjoy some of the beautiful light. Also, Megan's ring actually belonged to Ej's mom. Talk about special....and gorgeous.

 Megan, you are stunning. And Ej, you're not half bad lookin' either :)

We then went over to some of their friend's house so they could "decorate" each other with pastels. Below was the trial run.

 And then it was on.....

 Afterwards, it was decided that they one way to clean up was to hose down....

Last night I had a super fun engagement shoot and I simply had to share a fav.

David + Hannah

I love these two....quite dearly :) My brother David came up to Starkville for Super Bulldog Weekend with his lovely girlfriend Hannah, and when she asked to do a photo shoot this weekend I happily obliged.  So, we headed out to the railroad tracks and got to work. (By the way, when we got there David said "This is where we are taking photos??")

David had to ask Hannah three times to winter formal before she finally said yes.  Hannah, I'm so glad you relented - but way to make him work for it ;)

David, your girlfriend is STUNNING.

Hannah is a ballerina, photographer, barista.... can we say fabulous?!?!

This is my little bro; football player, sports lover, guitar enthusiast.... I gotta love him :)

So I love photographing but I will say, photographing family is probably the hardest. David was....shall we.... being a little pest!..... an artistic challenge. So, I decided to get a photo that sorta looks like he's pickin' his nose. He's really not though. :)

I'll end with my favorite. Hannah and David, I am so glad you guys came and hung out with Matt and I this weekend! We loved having you and are so thankful that you are in our lives. Love you both :)

Brandon + Christine :: Engaged

They met in high school on a double date, she with his boyfriend and he with his girlfriend. And that was it. Then, he randomly text her wanting to know what she thought of female presidents. They kept up the communication, developing a friendship, which turned into something more. This May, they are tying the knot, taking their friendship to the ultimate level.

I love how they interact with each other. Talk, laugh, have fun....

and even blow dandelion fluffs in the other's face
